2005 USDF National Convention
& Symposium to be held in Los Angeles
The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) will hold its National Convention & Symposium,
November 30 - December 4, 2005 in Los Angeles, California. This year's National Symposium will give participants
the extraordinary opportunity to learn from U.S. Dressage Team coach Klaus Balkenhol. "Dressage," as expressed
by Balkenhol, "becomes an art only when it's a joy for the horse as well as for us." Klaus Balkenhol was coach
of the 2004 U.S. Bronze Medal Olympic, 2002 U.S. Silver Medal World Equestrian Games, and 2000 German Gold Medal
Olympic Teams. Also presenting with Klaus Balkenhol will be Gerd Heuschmann, D.V.M., the 1989-1990 division head
of breeding for the German National Federation.

Seat Symposium with Eckart Meyners
& Hannes Müller July 30-31, 2005 Colorado Horse Park
Eckart Meyers is a professor of Sports Physiology and Movement at the Sports University in Lüneberg,
Germany. He has worked with the German National Equestrian Federation for twenty-five years, and
has been instrumental in the progress of equestrian instruction/ methodology, and rider training in Germany.

Abroad Scholarship Available
The Major Anders Lindgren Scholarship provides up to $6,000 each year to help a U.S. dressage instructor
train in Europe. This year's application is due Sept. 30.
